CEO Christian von Koenigsegg confirmed that the 3-cylinder engine will not be produced, although the technology is still under development and may be used in the future.

Initially, the company had announced a 3-cylinder engine for the model, marking a significant shift in their tradition of V-8 engines. However, demand for the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine was so low that the manufacturer managed to persuade buyers to opt for the V-8 engine.

The Gemera model will only be offered with a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine, producing 2,300 horsepower and 2,028 lb-ft of torque.

Production of the Gemera is set to begin later this year, with deliveries to customers starting in 2025, and Koenigsegg plans to produce only 300 units.
